titleOfInvention METHOD FOR DETECTING CHANGE OF ACTIVITY IN A SPECTRUM CONSTRUCTED FROM CORPUSCULAR INTERACTIONS
abstract The invention relates to a method of detecting a change of activity in an energy spectrum, said spectrum being measured periodically, the result of these measurements being presented in the form of cumulative spectra. A cumulative spectrum corresponds to a histogram, a histogram being composed of a plurality of accumulation channels, an accumulation channel (j) being representative of a number of particles measured in a given energy band (B). At least one region R is selected, said region (101, 102) including a plurality of accumulation channels in which a peak of energy to be detected may appear. The method comprises a step (201) of construction for the region R of at least two differential spectra SD and SD, the first spectrum SD corresponding to the difference between two cumulative spectra obtained with a difference of seconds, the second spectrum SD corresponding to the difference between two cumulative spectra obtained with a difference of Delta seconds, the Delta time difference being larger than the Delta time difference. The method also comprises a step (204) implementing a nonparametric statistical test for comparing at least two samples, the two samples used corresponding to the two differential spectra and so as to detect a change of activity in the R region.
