titleOfInvention CONDITIONING OF A RADIOACTIVE WASTE BY CEMENT
abstract The invention relates to the field of packaging radioactive waste by cementing. More specifically, the invention relates to the use of a crystalline silica, mixed with a cement powder, to reduce the heating of the cement paste resulting from the hydration of this powder, during a process of conditioning a radioactive waste. The invention also relates to a formulation for conditioning a radioactive waste by cementation, which comprises such a silica. It also relates to a method of conditioning a radioactive waste implementing this formulation, as well as to a conditioning package of a radioactive waste that is obtained by this method. Applications: treatment of low and intermediate level waste produced in the downstream of the nuclear fuel cycle.
