abstract | The present invention relates to an equipment for analyzing the composition of nuclides (10), for analyzing the composition of the atomic nuclei contained in a sample (100) by irradiation of the latter with a neutron beam, the equipment comprising: a neutron source (11) which emits a non-monochromatic pulsed neutron beam (20) and irradiates the sample (100); a gamma ray detecting unit (13) which detects the neutron capture gamma rays (30) generated from the sample (100); and - a data processing unit (15) which determines the composition of the nuclides by performing the provisional evaluation of the neutron capture gamma ray emitting nuclide composition by calculating the neutron capture gamma ray intensity at the output gamma ray detection unit, at different times, the start time being the moment of occurrence of the pulsed neutron beam, and performing a statistical treatment of the nuclide composition tentatively evaluated at different times. |
