abstract |
The present invention relates to a method for characterizing at least one bacterium present in a sample, said method comprising at least the following steps: a) obtaining a solution containing at least one bacteriophage capable of being specific for said bacterium (s) ( s) to characterize; b) contacting the solution containing said bacteriophage (s) with said bacterium (s) to be characterized and, optionally, at least one antimicrobial agent; c) To put in conditions allowing bacteriophage infection and multiplication of bacteria within said bacteria; d) Detect by any suitable method the presence of non-structural proteins of bacteriophages, produced during the infection of bacteria; the presence of said non-structural proteins for characterizing said bacterium (s). |
