NANOTRACTERS FOR THE MARKING OF PETROLEUM FIELD INJECTION WATER |
abstract |
The field of the present invention relates is that of the exploration for and exploitation of oil deposits. Specifically, the invention relates to the development of nanoparticles that can be used as tracers for tracking the movement of fluids injected into an oil deposit. The injected fluids are diffused through a solid geological medium that constitutes the oil deposit, making it possible to study the latter by tracking the path of the injected fluids. The aim is in particular to monitor the flows between the injection well(s) and the production well(s), and/or to evaluate the amount of reserve oil and water in the deposit, and finally to optimize oil exploration and exploitation. |
