METHOD AND DEVICE FOR SEPARATING ISOTOPES FROM A GAS FLOW |
abstract |
Method and device for the isotopic separation of at least two different isotopes of a body in gaseous form, comprises the following steps: • converting into a gas the body of interest containing the desired isotope; • Create a supersonic flow of said gas, with laminar or slightly turbulent flow type; • Inhibit the nucleation of one of the isotopologists by means of a laser; • Ionize the molecules and aggregates of molecules of said gas by a laser or an electron beam; • Subject the molecules and aggregates of ionized molecules to an electromagnetic field, to migrate the ionized molecules and aggregates of one of the isotopologists towards the outside of the flux; • Recover the part of the gas stream with the highest concentration of ionized molecules containing the desired isotope. |
