titleOfInvention | SOLID ELECTROLYTE MULTI-ANODE CAPACITOR ASSEMBLY |
abstract | The invention relates to a capacitor assembly (100) having a high capacitance while remaining thermally and mechanically stable under extreme conditions. Even at high capacitance values, good mechanical stability can be achieved by connecting a plurality of individual capacitor elements to the housing (122). It is believed that the use of multiple elements increases the surface on which the elements are connected to the housing. Among other things, this allows the elements to dissipate on a larger surface the vibration forces they experience during their use, making delamination less likely. The capacitor elements are hermetically sealed in a single housing under a gaseous atmosphere containing an inert gas, which limits the amount of oxygen and moisture coming into contact with the solid electrolyte of the capacitor elements. With the features mentioned above, the capacitor assembly (100) is able to operate better under extreme conditions. |
