The present invention relates to the use as preservative, especially in a cosmetic or dermatological composition, of at least one compound of formula (I): in which: X represents = O or -OH, - R1 represents a hydrogen atom or methyl; R2 represents a hydrogen atom, a methyl or an ethyl; - R3 represents a linear hydrocarbon radical, saturated or unsaturated, C1-C12, optionally substituted with a hydroxyl group (OH); excluding the compound of formula (I) wherein X is = O, R1 = methyl, R2 = H and R3 = - (CH) -CH. The invention also relates to certain novel compounds and cosmetic or dermatological compositions comprising them. |
