abstract The present invention relates to a process for the preparation, production and packaging of a hydrogel intended to be applied to the skin, of small thickness, based on a gelling and thickening complex comprising carrageenan, glucommanane and galactomannan. This hydrogel takes more particularly the form of a mask or patches in a kit for cosmetic facial care. The hydrogel according to the invention is obtained and packaged according to a process comprising a first step of forming the hydrogel by negative heat shock in its packaging, then a second step of introducing the cosmetic or pharmaceutical active ingredients in the form of a concentrated liquid composition and a third step where the package is hermetically sealed.
