titleOfInvention PROCESS FOR PREPARING A HALOGEN POLYMER AND DEVICE FOR IMPLEMENTING SAID METHOD
abstract Continuous process for preparing a halogenated polymer comprising a step of polymerizing at least one halogenated monomer in a medium comprising liquid or supercritical carbon dioxide (CO2 L / SC) in at least one reactor under pressure said method comprising at least: - (1) an expansion of the suspension from the reactor; - (2) a separation of the expanded slurry from the reactor into a first stream, containing the solid phase comprising the halogenated polymer and into a second stream, liquid, gaseous or supercritical, which is a mixture of CO2 and unconverted monomer; polymer; and recovering this first and second streams; - (3) reheating, applied to the relaxed suspension, before or after its separation in first and second flow, associated with a recovery of frigories generated by the relaxation; - (4) a recompression of the second stream and its optional cooling, for recycling to the reactor feed, with a supplement of fresh monomer and, optionally, CO2; - (5) a final step of degassing the halogenated polymer, optionally in combination with a continuous technique of shaping the polymer into granules. Device for implementing the method
