The invention relates to an electrical energy storage module for being arranged on a floor (14) of a vehicle luggage compartment. The module comprises a housing (12) where electrical storage elements (8) are housed along a longitudinal axis of the housing. The upper (16) and lower (18) faces of the housing (8) form a recess relative to the nominal thickness of the housing. The lateral edges (24) thus form reinforcement zones and side channels (21) for cooling and / or for evacuating smoke. The modules are disposed adjacent to the floor (14) of a vehicle luggage compartment. The recess of the lower face forms with the floor (14) a lower cooling channel. A profiled protective plate (11) is arranged on the modules. The recess of the upper face forms with the protective plate (11) an upper cooling channel. In addition to providing cooling and / or evacuation of fumes in case of overheating, this arrangement also provides a mechanical protection of the elements relative to the objects arranged in the luggage compartment. |
