titleOfInvention | LOW NOISE AMPLIFIER FOR SATELLITE RADIO FREQUENCY COMMUNICATION |
abstract | A low noise amplifier for a radiofrequency signal receiving device of a satellite includes an amplifier held in a sealed cavity of a cryostat, and a cryogenic refrigerator attached to the outside of the cryostat. The amplifier is: - maintained in the sealed cavity of a cold finger of the cryogenic refrigerator, made of a good heat conducting material and passing through without direct contact the wall of the cryostat; connected to input and output couplers which each pass through the wall of the cryostat through an opening in the wall of a waveguide; - functional at an ambient temperature, and at least at a cryogenic temperature much lower than the ambient temperature; and the sealed cavity of the cryostat contains a gas at a pressure close to the pressure outside the cryostat. |
