abstract The present invention relates to devices for delivering a stent 1 formed of son arranged so as to be able to take two shapes respectively folded A1 and unfolded A2 and their manufacturing process. The device is essentially characterized by the fact that it comprises a catheter 12, a central core 20 able to slide in translation in the stent, buffers 30, at least one of which is made of a relatively rigid material, integral with the central core. being interposed in contact between the outer surface of the core and the inner surface of the stent 1, and in that the buffer 30 of a relatively rigid material comprises, on at least a portion of its surface capable of coming into contact with the inner surface of the stent when the latter is in its folded form A1, indentations of a portion of the cross section of at least a portion of the son 2 constituting the stent 1, so that at least a portion of the son 2 of the stent is able to lodge in these footprints. Application, in particular, to the treatment of aneurysms or the like.
