The invention relates to an in vitro or in vivo method for screening candidate compounds for the preventive or curative treatment of acne, seborrheic dermatitis or skin disorders associated with hyperseborrhoea comprising determining the capacity of a compound to modulate the expression or the activity of the protein CIDEA, as well as the use of modulators of the expression or the activity of this protein for the treatment of acne, seborrheic dermatitis or cutaneous disorders associated with a hyperseborrhea. The invention also relates to methods of diagnosis or prognosis in vitro of these pathologies. |
