titleOfInvention METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR AIDING EXPECTORATION
abstract The invention relates to a method for assisting sputum which is implemented by means of an apparatus comprising a first assembly comprising at least one ventilation unit, an air control unit, a microprocessor, a data storage memory and a human machine interface and a second set comprising a mask, an air filter and a connecting tube to said first set.The method according to the invention is essentially characterized in that it involves submitting the patient positive air pulse (PP) series during the inspiration phase (IP) and negative (PN) during the expiration phase (EP) and in that said pulsations are programmable in frequency and pressure. The air control unit of the apparatus according to the invention is characterized in that it comprises a solenoid valve actuated by the microprocessor capable of producing said series of air pulsations.
