titleOfInvention | PROCESS FOR CO-PRODUCTION OF CYCLIC CARBONATES AND AMINO ACIDS |
abstract | The invention relates to a conjugated process for producing omega-amino-alkanoic acids and polyol carbonates from a monounsaturated natural fatty acid having the following zones: I) methanolysis zone of a natural oil containing a triglyceride of at least one monounsaturated fatty acid producing, on the one hand, the methanolate of the fatty acid and, on the other hand, of the glycerol, II) zone of synthesis of the omega-amino-alkanoic acid comprising the following steps a) transformation methanolate to an omega-unsaturated fatty ester, either by ethenolysis of the methanolate, or by pyrolysis of a methanolate comprising an OH, followed by b) hydrolysis of the ester formed, and then c) hydrobromination of the omega-unsaturated acid derived from step b) and then d) amination with ammonia of the compound resulting from the hydrobromination of step c), III) zone of synthesis of a polyol carbonate by reaction of urea either directly on the glycerol, or on a diol obtained by by hydrogenation of glycerol, the reaction of the polyol with urea producing ammonia, IV) ammonia recovery zone from zone III and that from zone Ild where the reaction is carried out with excess ammonia, to serve as a feed for the amination of step d of zone II. |
