abstract The present invention relates to a device for treating uncrushed lead-acid accumulators comprising in combination: - a primary crusher (10) for coarsely crushing accumulators, - a rotary screen (30) for screening crushing debris, the screen having a mesh between 10 and 20 millimeters so as to separate the coarse debris from fine substances comprising lead oxides (PbO2, PbSO4), the screen being disposed downstream of the primary mill, - a secondary mill (20) for finely crushing the debris coarse so as to obtain fine fragments, the secondary mill being disposed downstream of the screen.The invention also relates to the implementation method associated with the device.
