abstract The present invention relates to a process for preparing a carbon airgel from agglomerated carbon nanotubes, comprising the steps of: (A) producing an aqueous dispersion of carbon nanotubes in water, in the presence of an agent dispersant; (B) a foam is made from the aqueous dispersion of nanotubes of step (A), by expansion under the effect of a gas, in the presence of a foaming agent; and (C) the foam obtained in step (B) is frozen and the water is then removed by sublimation.The invention also relates to the carbon aerogels thus obtained, as well as their use, especially as separating materials. , or biomaterials.
