abstract A process for bringing into contact without mixing a first liquid and a second immiscible liquid, in which the following successive steps are carried out: -a) placing the first liquid in at least one container comprising a wall made of a solid material not reactive with respect to the first and second liquids, said wall comprising one or more through-holes; the first liquid being non-wetting with respect to said solid material of the wall; -b) immersing said first container in a volume of the second liquid so that the first liquid is in contact with the second liquid at the level of said through holes; -c) the first liquid is left in contact with the second liquid for a time sufficient for an exchange to take place, transfer of material between the first and second liquids; -d) said first container is removed from the volume; of the second liquid.A device for carrying out this method.
