titleOfInvention PROCESS FOR THE PREPARATION OF ACRYLIC ACID FROM GLYCEROL
abstract The invention relates to a process for preparing acrylic acid from an aqueous glycerol solution, comprising a first step of dehydration of glycerol to acrolein and a second step of oxidation of acrolein to acrylic acid, in which performs an intermediate step of condensing at least partly water and heavy byproducts present in the stream from the first dehydration step. This process provides high productivity and selectivity to acrylic acid.
