abstract |
The invention relates to a gas generator, comprising a tubular body incorporating: a primary chamber (3) for storing and burning a primary pyrotechnic compound, said primary chamber having at least one nozzle (17) for expelling the products combusting the primary compound in a primary jet in an axial direction of the tubular body; an ignition system (11); a secondary chamber (5) for storing and decomposing a secondary compound, the primary compound controlling the decomposition of the secondary compound, the secondary chamber extending at least partially in the axial extension of the primary chamber and having, for each nozzle for expulsion, an inlet opening (14) of the corresponding primary jet, formed less than 5 mm, and preferably less than 2 mm, facing said expulsion nozzle in the axial direction; at least one stabilization zone (12) which communicates with the secondary chamber and with the outside of the gas generator for the release of the generated gases. |
