abstract |
The invention relates to linear or branched C8 or higher fatty chain (meth) acrylic polymers which may comprise at least one ethylenic unsaturation, of low molecular weight and free of sulfur, metal and halogenated compounds. The invention also relates to a process for synthesizing these polymers by radical polymerization in a solvent medium with a very rapid initiation system. These polymers are particularly useful in formulations that can be used in various application sectors such as solvent-based acrylic resins with high solids or petroleum additives and especially lubricants. |
