abstract | The invention relates to the fields of the necessities of life and more particularly to the field of cosmetics. The present invention more particularly relates to the production of a preservative which allows excellent antimicrobial, bacteriostatic and antifungal protection. The present invention consists of a combination of salicylic acid and an extract of Lonicera japonica variety Caprifolium, in a well-defined pH area to obtain a very good preservation effect.Use of the preservative in any cosmetic form, in compositions intended for cutaneous use, in particular in gels, emulsions, lotions, creams, ointments, milks or masks, in sun products, solar gels, solar sprays or in any type of shampoo. They can also be used in shower gels, veterinary products, pharmaceuticals, food preservation, cleaning and disinfection products. |
