abstract This device comprises a reservoir (10) of additives, means (13, 14) for injecting additives connected to the reservoir (10) of additives and the fuel tank (2), means (17) for measuring the quantity of fuel introduced into the reservoir (2) during each replenishment and the means (20) for calculating and controlling the amount of additives to be injected into the reservoir (2) to maintain the concentration of additives in the fuel to the predetermined value and to control the injection means (13, 14) for injecting the calculated amount of additives, is characterized in that the additive tank contains a mixture of additives comprising at least one additive to aid the regeneration of the depollution means and in that the device further comprises at least one ion exchange body (30) installed in a part of the fuel distribution circuit, each ion exchange body being suitable to store at least an additive and gradually release it into the fuel.
