abstract |
The rare earth borate of the invention is in the form of a suspension in a liquid phase of substantially monocrystalline particles with an average size of between 100 and 400 nm. A process is prepared in which a rare earth borocarbonate or hydroxyborocarbonate is calcined at a temperature sufficient to form a borate and to obtain a product having a specific surface area of at least 3 m 2 / g; wet grinding of the product resulting from the calcination is carried out. The borate of the invention can be used as a phosphor, in particular in the manufacture of a luminescent transparent material. |
