abstract The present invention relates to a method for synthesizing 4beta-amino-4'-demethyl-4-desoxypodophyllotoxin of formula 1, characterized in that it comprises the following successive stages: a) reaction, in a pure weak acid or in a mixture acid, water and organic solvent, without further solvent, at a temperature above room temperature, thiourea with 4beta-haloacetamido-4'-demethyl-4-desoxypodophyllotoxin; b) recovery of 4beta amino-4'-demethyl-4-desoxypodophyllotoxin.
