The invention relates to novel optically active P-chiral organophosphorus compounds of general formula (I), having on the aryl in the vicinity of the phosphorus atom a hydroxyl, mercapto, amino, carboxyl, sulphonyl and derivatives group, their preparation and their use in asymmetric catalysis of unsaturated compounds. The novel optically pure arylphosphine ligands derived therefrom, in their form of transition metal complexes, have, with respect to ligands of the same type as DiPAMP, increased activity and enantioselectivity, particularly in asymmetric hydrogenation. |
