abstract The invention relates to a process for the production of phenylalkanes by catalytic alkylation on a solid acid catalyst using at least one moving bed reactor.The process comprises a step of catalytically alkylating an aromatic compound with at least one olefin having 9 to 16 carbon atoms per molecule, associated with a catalyst reactivation circuit. Each reactor contains n reaction zones, each of said zones consisting of an acidic solid catalyst, possibly different from one zone to another. At the inlet of each reaction zone, a fraction of the total amount of olefins required for the alkylation reaction is introduced. The phenylalkanes obtained by the process according to the invention are particularly suitable for the manufacture of detergents.
