abstract | The present invention relates to an electrical initiator with compressed pyrotechnic layers of PTMS (R) type, comprising a cap containing at least one pyrotechnic charge, a base and a resistive element, characterized in that the base is made of a composite material comprising a matrix formed of at least one plastic material, in which fibers are dispersed, said composite material having a melting point ranging from 260 to 320 degree C and a coefficient of thermal expansion of less than 30.10 <-6> K <- 1> in the axial direction according to ASTM E831 test. Optionally, the cap is made with this same material. The present invention also relates to a gas generator comprising such an initiator. |
