abstract | The invention relates to multimicrocapsular oral medicaments with modified release of PPIs, more particularly useful for the prevention and treatment of gastrointestinal disorders. The object of the invention is to provide a novel oral medicinal product based on PPIs. ideally having all or some of the following characteristics: a) Prompt relief of the patient by elevation of gastric pH after oral administration of the drug. b) Accelerate patient healing by maintaining this elevation of gastric pH for as long as possible after the oral intake of the drug, and especially during the night.) To improve treatment compliance and patient comfort by a single daily intake. To achieve this goal, the microcapsules of the invention, preferably non-enteric, are consisting of microparticles of IPP coated with ethylcellulose, an ammonio-methacrylate copolymer (Eudragit (R) RL 100), polyvinylpyrrole lidone, castor oil and hydrogenated castor oil (40). This drug is designed so that after ingestion for administration in a single daily dose, it allows to maintain, from the first day of treatment, a mean gastric pH between 0 and 24h, greater than or equal to the average gastric pH between 0 and 24h obtained with an oral enteric drug immediate release reference *, administered under the same conditions.The invention also relates to these microcapsules per se. |
