abstract |
Method for the in vitro diagnosis of increased sensitivity to 5-fluorouracil, said method comprising carrying out on one or more biological samples, including at least one blood sample, the combination of at least two in vitro tests chosen from the group consisting measuring the plasma uracil concentration, measuring the ratio of plasma dihydrouracil / uracil concentrations, and determining the presence or absence of a mutation in the gene encoding dihydropyrimidine dehydrogenase. It also relates to a method of in vitro diagnosis of the predisposition of a subject to the development of toxicity following a treatment comprising 5-fluorouracil, as well as a method of in vitro evaluation of the dose of 5. -fluorouracil suitable for a patient with a disease which can be treated with 5-fluorouracil. |
