abstract | This composition for treating the surface of a glass, in particular of a flat glass or of a hollow glass, or else of a glass in the form of fibers, is suitable for being applied in a thin layer on said glass. It comprises, in aqueous medium, the following constituents (A) and (B): (A) at least one compound comprising at least one function f (A); and (B) at least one compound comprising at least one function f (B) capable of reacting with the function or functions f (A) of the component (A) within the thin layer applied to the glass in order to transform the latter by polycondensation and / or polymerization in a solid layer, at least one of the compounds falling within the definition of (A) and of (B) comprising at least one RO-function attached to a silicon atom, R representing an alkyl residue , and at least part of the compounds comprising at least one RO- function attached to a silicon atom which may be in a hydrolyzed form resulting from a prehydrolysis or a spontaneous hydrolysis taking place during contact of the compound (s) with the medium aqueous. |
