The subject of the invention is a device for producing hydrogen peroxide H2O2, said device comprising at least one electrochemical cell which comprises an anode, a cathode and an aqueous electrolyte, said electrochemical cell being a cell with two compartments, said compartments being separated by an ion exchange membrane, said cathode being a gas diffusion electrode, said device being characterized in that said cathode comprises at least one catalyst based on Co, N and C, preferably derived from 5, 10, 15 , Tetrakis (4-methoxyphenyl) 21H, 23H Porphyrin Cobalt II (or CoTMPP) .A method for carrying out such a device.
