| abstract | The present invention relates to a braking assistance device for a motor vehicle of the type comprising, in known manner, a motor piston (1) and a brake booster (3), the control rod (2) of the brake pedal being mounted movable in the body (11) of the drive piston (1), the brake booster (3) comprising an enclosure (31) connected to the body (11) of the drive piston (1), the enclosure (31) comprises a movable wall (32 ) which divides it into a pressure chamber (B) and a vacuum chamber (A), the movable wall (32) being coupled with the push rod (33) of the brake booster, the device comprises means for pressurizing the pressure chamber (B). Characteristically according to the invention, the pressurizing means comprise means for the sudden release of a gas in the pressure chamber (B) so as to obtain, after release of the gas, a pressure in the pressure chamber ( B) greater than the pressure in the vacuum chamber (A). |
