abstract |
The present invention relates to a material for forming images by ink jet printing having very good color fastness over time and good image quality.The said material comprises a porous polyester support and at least an ink receiving layer, said ink receiving layer comprising at least one water-soluble binder and at least one aluminosilicate polymer obtainable by a preparation method of treating an aluminum halide with a mixture of at least one silicon alkoxide containing only hydrolysable substituents and at least one silicon alkoxide having a non-hydrolyzable substituent, with an aqueous alkali in the presence of silanol groups, the aluminum concentration being kept below 0.3 mol / 1, the molar Al / Si ratio being maintained between 1 and 3.6 and the molar ratio alkali / Al being maintained between 2.3 and 3; and then stirring the resulting mixture at room temperature in the presence of silanol groups for a time sufficient to form the hybrid aluminosilicate polymer. |
