COMPOSITION BASED ON CERIUM OXIDE AND ZIRCONIUM OXIDE WITH REDUCIBILITY AND HIGH SURFACE, PREPARATION METHOD AND USE AS CATALYST |
abstract |
The composition of the invention is based on cerium oxide and zirconium oxide in a Ce / Zr atomic proportion of at least 1, it has a degree of reducibility of at least 70% and a surface area of at least 15 m2 / g. It is obtained by a process in which a mixture comprising cerium and zirconium compounds is formed; this mixture is brought into contact with a basic compound whereby a precipitate is obtained which is heated in an aqueous medium; there is added to this medium or the separated precipitate a surfactant type additive or a polyethylene glycol or a carboxylic acid; we grind; the precipitate thus obtained is calcined under inert gas or under vacuum, at a first stage, at a temperature of at least 850 ° C. and then under an oxidizing atmosphere, in a second stage at a temperature of at least 400 ° C. |
