titleOfInvention | ACOUSTO-OPTICAL IMAGING PROCESS AND INSTALLATION. |
abstract | A method of acousto-optic imaging of an object to be imaged (OBJ) comprises the steps of (a) generating an incident optical wave (INC), and a reference optical wave (REF), consistent with the incident wave (INC), (b) vibrate at an acoustic frequency an area of the object to be imaged (OBJ), (c) apply the incident wave (INC) on the object to be imaged (OBJ), and thus generate a scattered signal wave (DIF), (d) apply at least part of the scattered signal wave to a detection device (DET), (e) apply the reference wave (REF) to the detection device (DET) without passing it through the object to be imaged (OBJ), which generates an interferogram I (r, t), (f) extract digital information from the interferogram I (r, t), and (g) obtain the coordinates (U, V, W) of a point of measurement of the object to be imaged (OBJ) to which the digital information relates. |
