abstract The present invention relates to compositions and methods for the detection and treatment of neurodegenerative pathologies. It describes in particular the identification of new metabolic pathways and new molecular targets involved in the development of neurodegenerative pathologies, as well as diagnostic and therapeutic approaches based on a modulation of these pathways or the activity of these targets. The invention describes in particular the presence, in affected patients, of molecular alterations in the prostaglandin PGD2 synthesis pathway and allows the development of effective and specific therapeutic and diagnostic strategies. The invention also relates to methods, tools, constructions and compositions adapted to the implementation of these strategies.
