titleOfInvention METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PLASMA RECHARGING OF A PREFORM FOR OPTICAL FIBER WITH REDUCED NITROGEN OXIDES
abstract A device (1) is dedicated to plasma recharging of a preform (2) for optical fiber. This device comprises, on the one hand, a plasma torch (3), supplied with plasma gas by primary supply means (5) and arranged so as to allow the deposition of a refill material on a primary preform ( 2), to be recharged, in the presence of a silica-based material, and on the other hand, secondary supply means (9) arranged so as to introduce at least one element upstream of the primary preform (2) reducing agent which induces by reaction a reduction of the nitrogen oxides produced by the interaction between nitrogen and the oxygen in the air, contained in the enclosure in which the recharging takes place, in the presence of the plasma generated by the plasma torch (3).
