abstract The present invention relates to a polypeptide containing 25 to 40 amino acid residues and comprising a peptide sequence corresponding to the following formula (I): WX1X2WX3X4EX5X6NYT (I) in which: X1 represents the residue of an amino acid chosen from M, I, L and Q, X2 represents the residue of an amino acid chosen from E, K, R and Q, X3 represents the residue of an amino acid chosen from D and E, X 4 represents the residue of an amino acid chosen from K, R and Q, X5 represents the residue of an amino acid chosen from V, I and L, and X6 represents the residue of an amino acid chosen from D, S, N and E, the letters other than X being the conventional symbols for representing amino acids. These polypeptides can be used as drugs making it possible to fight against infection by the human immunodeficiency virus in humans.
