abstract | The incandescent wire-resistant methacrylic polymer material comprises (a) 85 to 92% of a methacrylic (co) polymeric material formed from homopolymer of methyl methacrylate or copolymer predominantly containing units derived from the methyl methacrylate monomer, (b) a halogenated polyphosphonate compound; and (c) a halogenated neutral ester compound of phosphoric acid, with the provisos that compounds (b) and (c) are compatible with the methyl methacrylate monomer and / or the methacrylic (co) polymer material and that the amounts, in weight percentage, x of compound (b) and y of compound (c) are such that the sum x + y represents from 6 to 15% of the total weight of components (a), (b) and (c) and that x and y are greater than or equal to 3%, where x is preferably greater than or equal to y.Application for the production of cast or extruded plates and injection-molded articles useful in the electrical field ue. |
