abstract |
The present invention relates to a process for the decomposition of organic hydroperoxides in the presence of a catalyst.It proposes a process for the decomposition of organic hydroperoxides in the presence of a catalyst into a mixture of alcohols and ketones in which the catalyst comprises at least one minus a ruthenium-based catalytically active metal component incorporated in a solid support selected from the group consisting of metal oxides and coals such as carbons obtained by pyrolysis of organic compounds. The process of the invention is particularly useful in the decomposition of large chemical intermediates such as cyclohexyl hydroperoxide. |
