The invention describes a new process for obtaining an aqueous dispersion of hydrophobic polymers dispersed in the form of particles with an average diameter of less than 100 nm stabilized jointly with a macromolecular surfactant based on styrene I copolymer imidized maleic anhydride of low mass, and a cationic surfactant.
