titleOfInvention METHOD AND DEVICES FOR DATA TRANSMISSION WITH ACQUITTLEMENT MECHANISM
abstract A first unit successively sends data blocks to a second unit. For at least some of the block transmissions, the second unit returns an acknowledgment signal indicating whether the transmitted data block has been correctly received. The first unit sends a redundancy block relative to a previously sent block for which the received acknowledgment signal indicates incorrect reception. Each block sent is accompanied by an identification signal indicating whether it is a redundancy block. The first unit associates each acknowledgment signal received with a block sent in a time relationship determined with the reception of this acknowledgment signal. In response to receiving an identification signal that is inconsistent with a previously returned acknowledgment signal, the second unit returns to the first unit a signal to restart the transmission of the blocks.
