titleOfInvention | PHYTOPATOGENIC MUSHROOM GENE 763 AND ITS USE FOR THE IDENTIFICATION OF FUNGICIDAL COMPOUNDS |
abstract | The present invention relates to a novel nucleic acid fragment of the genome of the pathogenic rice fungus Magnaporthe grisea comprising a gene encoding a protein (hereinafter referred to as protein 763) whose presence and integrity are essential for the pathogenesis of this fungus. with respect to rice and barley, it also concerns the promoter of this gene, the coding sequence for protein 763, protein 763 and their uses for the search for potential biological targets for new fungicidal molecules and the demonstration of genes coding for proteins which control biochemical functions essential to the pathogenesis of the fungus Magnaporthe grisea in rice and barley. Finally, it relates to compounds which inhibit the pathogenesis of fungi linked to the expression of the 763 gene. |
