abstract The invention relates to a detector for infrared radiation and shorter wavelengths, characterized in that it comprises: an array of photodetector elements (50) with a forbidden band arranged in a plane and spaced from each other by a distance less than about the wavelength of said radiation; a plurality of periodic radiation collection structures (72-86) respectively connected to said photodetector elements; a reflective plane for said radiation offset from the plane of said photodetector elements by a distance less than the wavelength of said radiation, in which the combination of said radiation collecting structures and said reflective plane captures and transmits said radiation to said detector elements for generating a detection signal.Application to infrared imaging.
