The invention relates to a catalyst comprising at least one metal from group VIII, at least one metal from group IB and at least two halogens, chlorine and fluorine, and at least one amorphous oxide matrix. The catalytic composition is such that the fluorine content is greater than or equal to 1.5% by weight of the total mass of the catalyst. The invention also relates to the use of this catalyst for the hydrogenation of aromatic compounds contained in charges containing sulfur compounds. |
