titleOfInvention PLASMA OPTICAL EMISSION SPECTROMETRY ELEMENT ANALYSIS DEVICE PRODUCED BY LASER
abstract Device for elementary analysis by optical emission spectrometry on plasma produced by laser. This device comprises a pulsed laser source (6), means (8, 10, 12) for focusing the light from this source on an object to be analyzed (2), to produce a plasma on the surface of the object, means (16, 18) for analyzing a spectrum of the radiation of the plasma, means (20) for determining, from this analysis, the elementary composition of the object, and any means (4) for moving the object. The invention applies in particular to the control of radioactive materials.
