titleOfInvention PROCESS FOR PRODUCING AT LEAST ONE XYLENE ISOMER COMPRISING AN ADSORPTION STEP AND ISOMERIZATION STEP WITH A EUO STRUCTURAL TYPE CATALYST
abstract A process for the production of at least one xylene isomer is described, comprising an adsorption (8) in a simulated moving bed of an aromatic C8 feed (1) delivering a fraction (9) rich in paraxylene which is optionally purified after distillation. (16) by at least one crystallization (5) at high temperature, and a fraction (10) poor in paraxylene. Fraction (10) is distilled and then isomerized (21) in the presence of a catalyst with structure type EUO. The isomerization effluent is freed of the lighter hydrocarbons in a first distillation (23) then of the naphthenes in a second distillation (26) and the resulting distilled isomerization effluent (2) is recycled at least in part to adsorption (8). A mother liquor (3) resulting from the crystallization step is recycled at least in part to the adsorption (8). Application to the synthesis of polyesters.
