titleOfInvention PROCESS FOR THE PRODUCTION OF A XYLENE ISOMER IN THREE STEPS: SEPARATION, ISOMERISATION IN THE PRESENCE OF A CATALYST BASED ON EUO ZEOLITHE AND TRANSALKYLATION
abstract The invention relates to a method for producing at least one isomer of xylenes, preferably paraxylene, and benzene from an aromatic C8 cut, said process comprising a zone for separating xylenes, a zone of isomerization of aromatic compounds containing 8 carbon atoms in the presence of a catalyst comprising at least one zeolite of structural type EUO chosen from zeolites EU-1, TPZ-3, ZSM-50 and at least one metal of group VIII of the periodic table of elements, and finally a transalkylation zone of C7 and C9 aromatics. The invention makes it possible to produce paraxylene and benzene in a high yield from an aromatic C8 cut comprising a large amount of ethylbenzene by improving the performance of the isomerization step and a good conversion of the ethylbenzene in the transalkylation step.
